Deadly hungry in Soho, Jack’s Wife Freda

I stumbled upon Jack’s Wife Freda in Soho on Saturday morning. I heard about the place before from the fashion blogger crew of NYC who liked to instagram their cute packages of sugar.

The restaurant looks very comfy with one big central table with warm decorations. The other big advantage is the location that is ideal if you’re around the infamous food area of Soho. Also close to the best shops such as Creature of Comfort, Opening Ceremony, Odin and Suitsupply.

The crowd was clearly comprised of young fashionable couples, and for those single men, yes there are also a few clusters of pretty girls. The kind of girls who went shopping on Mercer Street not on Broadway.

Best time to go there is on Saturday morning when you want to have brunch with friends. It’s not pricey at all and the service is friendly. But let’s be honest, if you go just for the mediterranean food, you’ll be disappointed. You are really going also for the atmosphere.

If you are a fan of halumi eggs, zahatar pita and labne, I much prefer Mogador in the East Village. They have almost the same brunch menu, but the plates are bigger and way more tasty.
